Money Management / Budgeting
Managing one's money is one of the building blocks of an independent life. The College Internship Banking Program is centered on teaching practical money skills for students who will be living on their own.
We will train you to be responsible for your own expenses, to understand the principle of budgeting and to be accountable for the payment of your bills.
The Program
You'll receive personal guidance each week in one or all of the three main areas, depending upon your level of financial management skills:
- Filling out various banking forms
- Budgeting your funds
- Paying your bills
- Reconciling your bank register with the bank statement

- Weekly receipts, paychecks, and bills to be paid
- Deposit and withdrawal slips
- Statement savings accounts
- Checking accounts
- Budgeting for weekly needs
- Long-term budgeting for an item or vacation
- Log of weekly expenses
- ATM card
- Online banking
- Money orders
